Monthly Over 65' Coffee & Craft Session - Northern Lily Community Garden
Monthly Coffee & Craft Session for the Over 65’s funded by the McCarthy Stone Foundation
A great opportunity to bring people together and provide social opportunity to bring local residents together to prevent social isolation.
New craft each month giving participants the opportunity to explore a range of creative activities to develop their skills and potentially discover a new hobby.
The sessions have been a great way to introduce new people to the Community Garden, with most discovering it for the first time. Attending the sessions is a great way to expose them to this valuable community resource and allow them to engage with the site, leading to opportunites to get involved in other activities such as garden volunteering, food workshops and learning about growing of food.

Community Workshop Testimonials
“We loved having Hannah join us at our youth club! She ran a brilliant floral print workshop that the young people absolutely loved. Everyone got stuck in and created some beautiful pieces. Hannah also joined us for our Light Trail event, helping families and children make lovely lanterns out of jars. She was so warm, patient, and encouraging, and really brought out everyone’s creativity. We’re so grateful for all the fun and colour she brought to both sessions. Thank you Hannah” Clare, Reach Church
“Hannah came to our carers group to do a craft session making origami flowers. The session was a hit and the attendees loved making the flowers. A lot of them have never done origami before and were happy to lean a new skill. Hannah is a great teacher who had patience and made time for all the group showing them how to make the flowers if they were struggling. I highly recommend Hannah for group activities and cant wait to book her again for a futures session.”
‘ Had a very enjoyable couple of hours crafting with Green Creations at Veg in the Park, Oldham. We were crafting dried flower lanterns with tea lights. Nice to meet fellow crafters and relax for a couple of hours. Lots of resources and advice. I’m really looking forward to the next session. Thank you to Green Creations for a lovely evening “
